A telehealth appointment is an option to consult with a doctor if you prefer to stay at home during this time of COVID restrictions. Telehealth is also a way of doctors following up on today’s face to face consultation and to keep in touch to ensure positive health outcomes.  Book your follow-up telehealth consultation today and we can show you how easy it is to use while you are here. All telehealth consultations are bulk billed. Telehealth is available to all patients, but it is especially important for people who have greater risk of complications if they get the COVID-19 infection. Such patients include:

  • Older patients
  • if you identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • pregnant
  • being treated for a chronic health condition but especially
    • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
    • Heart disease
    • Diabetes
    • Lung disease such as COAD and Asthma
  • immune compromised

If you fit into one of these groups, we encourage you to use the telehealth service Theodore Medical provides. If you are required to self-isolate or self-quarantine, we will need to provide health services to you by telehealth.

Telehealth is VERY easy and Theodore Medical staff can help set this up on your computer or smart phone. Then when you ring for an appointment time, we can organise to contact you either by a telehealth platform called Health Direct or phone. The doctor will then contact you at the nominated time by your preferred method. If you do not have a computer or Smart Phone, Theodore Medical doctors will contact you by phone.

Should you require blood tests, an ECG, X-ray or other hands-on examinations you will be asked to come to the surgery for a further consultation.
