Extended Midwifery Services (EMS)
Theodore Medical encourages all expectant mothers to see a Theodore Hospital midwife during your pregnancy. Bookings can be made through Theodore Medical or discuss with your doctors. EMS midwives will be in touch with you after you have had your baby to arrange a home visit to provide ongoing support and to answer any queries you may have re feeding, settling techniques.
This service is available for patients living up to approximately 50 kilometres from Theodore and includes neonatal screening including weight, healthy hearing screening. If needed, referrals can also be arranged to see a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, mental health, child health as well as your 6-week post-partum check with your doctor, if not already arranged.

Theodore Medical can perform air and bone conduction audiograms and tympanograms to check hearing on children (usually over 4 years old), to fulfil requirements for a heavy vehicle driver’s licence, workers compensation and other diagnostic requirements
