Our acute nursing team are on hand to take bloods, assist doctors with sutures and procedures, perform ECGs and spirometry, take X-rays, organise immunisations, ear irrigation and prepare pathology for transport. Their role also includes monitoring infection control, sterilising of instruments and ensuring vaccines are kept within the temperature required. In supporting the medical practitioners, this team will ring patients with pathology results should the doctors request this.
This nursing team are also on hand to assist in triaging patient health concerns and need. The acute Nursing Team have had the necessary training to provide services whilst working within their scope of clinical practice.
